My name is Mrs.Schryver and I am the school counselor for grades Pre-K through 5. The counseling program in our school is developed to help students in three main domains- academic support, social/emotional support, and career exploration. This program includes individual and group counseling, bullying prevention, classroom guidance, character education, information services, referral assistance, career exploration, conflict resolution, and more!
My office is located in the elementary building, and appointments can be scheduled by calling 585-928-2852. I am in the building from 7:40 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.

Ms. Taylor Winchell
Hi! My name is Taylor Winchell and I am one of the school counselors for grades Pre-K through 5 at BRES.
A school counselor’s job includes supporting students with their academic, career, and social and emotional needs. A goal of mine is to help students recognize their full potential in and out of the classroom. I believe that at the elementary level, it is super important to teach students to recognize their feelings and learn how to self-regulate—this helps students know how to cope with big emotions and prepare them for anything life throws at them in and out of school. By teaching and guiding students at a young age, I hope to focus on prevention rather than reactive maintenance. In order to do so, I provide students with individual counseling, group counseling, and classroom push-in lessons.
Consultation is also a big part of the role of a school counselor, so I like to keep in close contact with parents/guardians, teachers, support staff, administration, school psychologists, physicians, and mental health professionals. As a team, we can work together to provide your student with the best support possible.
